Keep it fun
- You must be of legal age (21+ in most US states) and in a state where betting is legal.
- Set a budget before you start, and only bet money you can afford to lose.
- Don't chase losses or bet to win back money.
- Set time limits and take breaks. Most sportsbooks let you set deposit and time limits, or exclude yourself.
- Never bet when upset, under pressure, or after drinking.

- Betting more than you planned, or more often
- Borrowing money or hiding betting from people close to you
- Feeling anxious or irritable when you aren't betting

Sports betting laws are set state by state. Some states allow it online and in person, some only in person, and some not at all. Check your state gaming regulator before you bet.
